Quasar and the Coronavirus
Our planet is under attack by a virus that has no respect for our borders, our racial and cultural differences or our way of life. This global epidemic has led governments to impose restrictions on the population rarely seen other than in times of war. Effectively the world is in lock-down.
As a great many of us are spending time in our homes, only venturing out for essential tasks, consumption of broadcast media has increased. Quasar, as with many radio stations across the world, has seen an increase in listening in recent weeks. In many respects we are fortunate that the way we operate has meant we have been able to carry on as normal by and large and we will continue to provide a full service for as long as we are able.
After much thought we have concluded you may welcome the inclusion of some additional repeat programmes during the day, Monday to Friday. Starting at some point next week we will begin to offer these programmes between 8am and 11am UK time.
These will be programmes you may have heard before and you may hear spoken comments that may sound a little odd such as the mention of a particular day. However, we hope you will find this move of some benefit during these difficult times and please do tell us what you think.
Stay safe and hopefully we’ll all see an end to this difficult situation soon.
