The New Normal?
To say that 2020 hasn’t been a great year is probably a bit of an understatement. The coronavirus has led to the deaths of far too many across the world, while others have been very ill before recovering. However, the majority of us have either been mildly affected or not at all, although that’s not to ignore the fact that our lives have been turned upside down in all sorts of ways. Now, we’re told, we’re living in the ‘new normal’, which seems to make life more complicated than a quadratic equation! We won’t be sad to see the back of 2020. That’s for sure.
Right, that’s enough gloom. Let’s share some positives. Thankfully all of the team here at Quasar have come through ok and we hope the same is true of all of you. Because of the way we operate we were able to carry on pretty much as normal and we hope you enjoyed the opportunity to hear some additional repeats of our programmes too. We will begin to phase those out next month, but we hope to add some enhancements to our non-stop music segments soon.
We’ve also had some good news about the amount of time you listen to Quasar. The hours that you tune in have pretty much doubled since this time last year. Additional listening during the lockdown months made a big contribution here, but even so more of you are listening to Quasar more often and for longer. We’d like to thank you for choosing us and hope Quasar continues to be a regular part of your day.
Further, we are eternally grateful for the donations many of you have made to help keep Quasar on the air. Even in these times where many of us may be financially stretched your generosity has helped, and will continue to help us to keep going. Thank you for your continued support. The virus is still out there so stay safe and let’s hope we can all get back to a more ‘normal’ life in the coming months.
