Over the years Derek Scott has been behind mics in various hospital radio and community radio stations and was also for a very brief period with land based pirate, London Music Radio.

Derek has twin lifetime loves of music and radio so joining Quasar was a dream come true. A fan of the Beatles since 1963, he remembers not being that impressed with “Love Me Do” at first but has clearly made up for that over the years. It will be a very rare programme of his that does not have something by the fabs in it.

He believes that the term “eclectic” best describes his musical tastes (and will sulk at the suggestion that this means he has no taste at all). His hope is that when you tune in you will be entertained and sometimes surprised (pleasantly, we trust) by the choice of                                                                 music.
